The movie “Life is Beautiful” is a pretty funny movie, but still very touching since it deals with the Holocaust and takes place in a concentration camp. The main message is still clear even though the Holocaust is being depicted in a comedic way, which is to “never give up”.Life Is Beautiful instills this fact into its Nazi characters. Note that, with the exception of Dr. Lessing, none of the Nazi characters have names. They also lack distinguishing personalities. They're all two-dimensional, stern, humorless, and unnaturally stiff-backed.Unlike Night however, Life is beautiful takes on a much more loving and caring feeling throughout. The movie takes on an example of human kindness in the worst situations much to the contrary of Night. Examples of this can be shown between Guido and his own son throughout the time spent in the concentration camps.
I think life is beautiful in the beginning of the film. Guido has a job as a waiter that he doesn't seems to hate, he feels proud all time and he is capturing his love's attention by making her feel beautiful when at last she feels attracted by him and have a kid together.A gentle Jewish-Italian waiter, Guido Orefice, meets Dora, a pretty schoolteacher, and wins her over with his charm and humor. Eventually they marry and have a son, Giosue. Their happiness is abruptly halted, however, when Guido and Giosue are separated from Dora and taken to a concentration camp.
